Objective Due to paraquat pesticide(Paraquat,PQ)with acute toxicity, and lack of specific antidote,so the number of deaths in patients with high lead poisoning,The current research mainly focus on the clinical treatment on acute paraquat poisoning, early prognostic indicators are relatively rare, however, research related prognostic indicators is not only conducive to the early clinical intervention, and judge for patients with disease development and treatment scheme has important significance, this experiment aims to the relationship of serum potassium the level and prognosis of poisoning, for the clinical assessment of disease severity, prognosis and provide a reference to determine the treatment plan. Methods To select 152 cases of patients with acute paraquat poisoning, according to the serum potassium level was divided into normal potassium group, hypokalemia group, hypokalemia group according to serum potassium levels were divided into mild hypokalemia group, moderate hypokalemia group and severe hypokalemia, were compared between the normal potassium group and hypokalemia group two patients, average age of poisoning to the time of admission, the first time of gastric lavage, blood perfusion time and poison dose levels, and statistical normal potassium group and hypokalemia in two groups of patients with alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, creatinine, urea nitrogen, serum amylase, white cell counting, high sensitive C reactive protein and creatine kinase isoenzyme(CKMB),HCO3-,lactic acid(Lac),P02,PCO2 level, further statistical analysis, statistical normal potassium group, mild hypokalemia group, moderate hypokalemia The final death cases in each group were statistically analyzed, and the number of cases of death in hypokalemia group was calculated. Results In 152 patients, aged 14~69 years, mean age 45.2± 7.5 years old, male 54 cases, female 98 cases,at a dose of 5~150ml poison, poisoning between the time of admission to the hospital for 1.0~6.0 hours, including 131 patients from rural areas. The study found that the normal potassium group and hypokalemia group two groups in mean age, commit to admission time, time of gastric lavage, blood perfusion time was not statistically significant(P>0.05),the poison dose, hypokalemia group was significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),hypokalemia group and normal potassium group on admission of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, creatinine, urea nitrogen, white blood cell count, high sensitivity C reactive protein, creatine kinase,HCO3-,lactic acid(Lac)compared with statistical significance(P<0.05),and two groups of patients on admission, serum amylase P02 and PCO2 showed no difference(P>0.05),to compare the mortality rate, low potassium potassium group was significantly higher than that in normal potassium group(P<0.05),moderate to low potassium group was significantly higher than that of mild hypokalemia group(P<0.05 The severe hypokalemia group was significantly higher than that of moderate low potassium group(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with hypokalemia in patients with paraquat poisoning, general severe illness, poor prognosis, and hypokalemia is more serious, with the higher mortality rate,so the early clinical detection of paraquat poisoning patients serum potassium has some guiding significance for the evaluation of the prognosis.
