Objective:The study was to explore risk factors of no screening test of HIV, Syphilis and HBV among women in early pregnancy in remote mountainous areas.Method:Case-control study method was used in the study. Women in their first6months after delivery from four remote mountainous townships in LinXing in Yunnan were recruited in the study. The case group included83women who did not received the screening test of HIV, syphilis and HBV, and the control group consisted of83women who received screening. A questionnaire survey and the test of Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, Perceived Social Support Scale were conducted to the women face to face.Results:(1) The women of the study aged from18to42years old with the mean of25.46±5.141years. Most of the women were in the first marriage. Han people accounted for78.8%. Most of the women finished their primary education. The percentage of illiteracy in the case group (18.1%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (8.4%), however, the percentage of middle school education in the case group (27.7%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (45.8%).(2) More women received antenatal care in the case group than those in the control group (P<0.05). The percentage of women who informed the screening test in the control group (77.1%) were higher than case group (25.3%).(3) The knowledge rates of HIV, syphilis and HBV were55.8%、38.6%and44.1%, respectively in the case group, which were significantly lower than those in the control group 67.6%,73.3%and55.3%, respectively (P<0.05)(4) For Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, the average score of positive coping style in the case group were lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), however, there was no significantly difference for the average scores of negative coping style between the case group and the control group (P>0.05) Moreover, both the average scores of the two groups were lower than those in the national norm for positive and negative coping style (.P<0.05).For Perceived Social Support Scale, there was no significantly difference in the average scores of family support, friend support, other support, and Social Support between the case group and the control group.(P>0.05)Correlation Analysis showed that negative coping style were positively correlated with friend support significantly.(5) Factor Analysis showed that there were6common factors, those were "women were unaware of harm, transmission ways and screening method of HIV, Syphilis and HBV","lack of awareness of necessity of screening tests in pregnancy","women were unaware of HIV/AIDS knowledge","women were unaware of HBV knowledge","women were unaware of policy of free screening test" and "women were unaware of Syphilis knowledge"(6) Multiple Logistic Regression models indicated that "women were unaware of harm, transmission ways and screening method of HIV, Syphilis and HBV"(OR=1.637, P=0.018),"lack of awareness of necessity of screening tests in pregnancy"(OR=2.686, P=0.036),"lack of encouraging women receiving the screening test in the first trimester pregnancy".(OR=6.267, P<0.001) were strongly associated with no screening test. Conclusion:Not enough health education on screening test of HIV, Syphilis and HBV to pregnant women, especially no specific mobilization of the test to women, and the lack of awareness of necessity of screening tests in pregnancy are risk factors of no screening test of HIV, Syphilis and HBV among women in their first trimeter pregnancy in remote mountainous areas.
