| Objective:To explore the adventages and disadventages of the treatment for ipsilateral femoral neck and shaft fractures.Method:We retrospectively reviewed11patients with ipsilateral femoral neck and shaft fractures from January2010to March2013.5patients were stabilized with cannulated lag screws and dynamic compression plate,2patients were stabilized with cannulated lag screws and femoral condyle anatomical steel plate,1patients were stabilized with dynamic hip screw and dynamic compression plate, and3patients were stabilized with reconstruction inter-locking nail. Analysis the reason of the missed diagnosis and the adventages and disadventages of the treatment.Results:All11patients were followed up for6months to36months, the average follow up duration was16.4months.9patients had fracture union at one stage, except1patient had nonunion of femoral neck and shaft fracture at11months after surgery and1patient had nonunion of femoral neck and shaft fractures at8months after surgery. They were all treated by the bone graft and internal fixation again. Conclusion:The ipsilateral femoral neck and shaft fractures are rare, and the femoral neck fracture is easy to be missed. The doctor should be vigilant and give the patients CT or MRI on the basis of X-ray. The treating method should be chosen according to the general condition of the patient and the type of the femoral fracture. |
