Experimental Study On The Toxicology Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Tongluo Liniment

Objective: The research is about BALB/c mice allergy, acute toxicity, long-term toxicity,after using Chinese medicine Tongluo liniment study adverse reaction on the body andevaluate safety in treatment of closed soft tissue injury.Method:1. Allergic experiment: BALB/c mice were randomly divided into blank group, Tongluoliniment group, positive group and were conducted sensitive contact test and excited contacttest. The hair on back was cleared before the experiment. the right hair zone wasadministrated in1,7,14days for enduring6hours. The last drug after14days, every groupadministrate drug on the left back for6hours and then observe allergic reaction and systemicreactions.2. Acute toxicity experiment: BALB/c mice were randomly divided into blank group andhigh dose group. The side of hair on back was cleared before the experiment24hours andthen administrate drug. To observed activities, weight, food intake, organ index and maximumtolerated dose (MTD) in BALB/c mice for consecutive7days.3.Long-term toxicity experiment: BALB/c mice were randomly divided into high, middle,low dose group, blank group, the skin was given drug(1time/day,6days per week, in total of12weeks).24hours after the last administration, general, blood biochemistry, organ index andorgan histopathological detection were conducted from parts of animals. After2weeks, theremaining animals were observed above the same ways.Result:1. Allergic experiment: There was no obvious erythema, edema in mice skin.2. Acute toxicity experiment: there were no significant difference in mice activities, theheart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney and other organs. Body weight, organ index has nosignificant statistical differences between groups (P>0.05).3.Long-term toxicity experiment: there were no significant difference in mice activities,body weight, blood biochemical and main organ index, the observed indexes between twogroups, there were no statistically significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion: 1. Chinese medicine Tongluo liniment has no sensitive and stimulative reaction on theskin.2. Chinese medicine Tongluo liniment has no acute toxicity.3. Chinese medicine Tongluo liniment has no long-term medication toxicity, delayedtoxicity and accumulative toxicity.
