Objective:To observe the curative effects on balance dysfunction of stroke patients by the static and dynamic excises of balance instrumentMethods:40cases of hemiplegic stroke patients were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group,20cases in each group. Patients in control group were treated with rehabilitation treatments, including the the scalp acupuncture Law and modern rehabilitation techniques. On the basis of the control group, the patients in treatment group applied the static and dynamic excises of balance instrument. Two groups of patients were assessed before and after treatment, respectively. The evaluation items included:(1) using Chinese scale of clinical neurologic deficit to assess the degree of nerve function defect in patients;(2) using the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) to assess the patient’s balance function;(3) using the stroke Patients Posture Assessment Scale (PASS) to assess the patient’s posture control capabilities;(4) using the Modified Barthel Index (MBI) to assess the patient’s activities of daily living.Results:(1) There is a significant difference (P<0.01)of the degree of nerve function defect, balance function, posture control capacities, activities of daily living both in control group and treatment group before and after treatment.(2) There is a significant difference(P<0.05)of the degree of nerve function defect, balance function, posture control capacities, activities of daily living between the treatment group and the control group after treatment. Conclusion:Rehabilitation treatments and the method combined the static and dynamic excises of balance instrument all can improve the degree of nerve function defect, the balance function, the posture control capacities, the activities of daily living, but the latter is significantly better than the former.
