ObjectiveDetermining the contents of bornyl acetate, patchouli alcohol,dehydrocostus lactone in Chenxiang Huaqi Wan,and through inspecting thequality of Chenxiang Huaqi Wan, developing methods to identify RhizomaCurcumae,Fructus Amomi,Costustoot,Rhizoma Cyperi in the pills,then makingthe quality standard of Chenxiang Huaqi Wan well improved. To establish asimple determination method, using GC-MS to analyse volatile constituents ofYixinningshen Tablet. Determine the composition and content of volatile oil,which is important for researchind drug active ingredient and raising qualitystandards.MethodsTo inspect the quality of Chenxiang Huaqi Wan, Rhizoma Curcumae、Fructus Amomi、Costustoot、Rhizoma Cyperi in Chenxiang Huaqi Wan wereidentified by TLC. To develop a GC method for the determination of bornylacetate, patchouli alcohol, dehydrocostus lactone in Chenxiang Huaqi Wan.methodologically inspected to establish quality standards of Chenxiang HuaqiWan. Distillation method was used to extract volatile oil from YixinningshenTablet, and the oil have was analyzed by GC-MS, at the same time to determinethe component content ResultsAll results of Chenxiang Huaqi Wan’s quality inspection were conform tothe standard of Pharmacopoeia. TLC was used to identified RhizomaCurcumae、Fructus Amomi、Costustoot、Rhizoma Cyperi in Chenxiang HuaqiWan, the method of TLC has a good specificity.The contents of Under certainchromatogram condition, the calibration curves of bornyl acetate, patchoulialcohol and dehydrocostus lactone were linear in the concentrait on range of0.029~1.164mg·mL-1(r=0.9999),0.045~1.613mg·mL-1(r=0.9999),0.037~1.339mg·mL-1(r=0.9995). The determination results of average recoveries (n=9) were99.7%,99.5%,99.3%. GC-MS machine was used to analyze the chemicalcomposition in volatile oils,40peaks were separated within51min. The mainconstituents of the essential oil were found to be Caryophyllene,n-Hexadecanoic acid,8,9-dehydro-Cycloisolongifolene,15-Copaenol, Ylangene,Humulene, accounting for65.05%of the total contents.ConclusionsThe TLC identification method of Rhizoma Curcumae、Fructus Amomi、Costustoot、Rhizoma Cyperi in Chenxiang Huaqi Wan, which with features likelow toxicity, high efficiency, and easy operation. The contens of bornyl acetate,patchouli alcohol and dehydrocostus lactone in Chenxiang Huaqi Wan weredetermined by GC, this method is highly exclusive, reproducible, accuracy andprecision. The established quality standards can be used for the quality controlof Chenxiang Huaqi Wan. Based on the analysis of the volatile oil componentsfrom Yixinningshen Tablet, can get a general idea of the volatile compositionand content, which providing fundamental basis for determining the effectivedrug active substances in the compound tablet, both and second development,preparation process improvement and quality standards raising.
