Objective:Treating diabetic lower extremity arterial disease with endovascular intervention combined traditional Chinese medicine method, observes the resuts and to explore the efficacy and security of it, for better clinical application. Methods:With the randomized and controlled method,68patients with diabetic lower extremity arterial disease who were Fontaine Ⅲ and Ⅳ were selected. All patients were divided into two groups,34cases in one test group (endovascular intervention combined Chinese medicine treatment), while34cases in a control group (endovascular intervention). All the patients who in the first week have been checked fit for the diagnose standard can take part in the next group treatment. The two groups of patients will be followed up6months after treatment. We will assess the therapeutic effects by observing the improvements of the clinical symptoms.the TCM Syndrome marks, the Ankel/brachial index (ABI),the transcutaneous oxygen pressure (tcpO2), the restenosis of extremity arteries, the eventually amputation and leg symptoms on quality of life (QOL) changes of detection before and after the treatment. All results are statistically analyzed with SPSS19.0, and P≤0.05show there is a significant difference, having statistical sense. Results:In the test groups which include32case.There are17cases achieve clinical recovery (53.13%),8cases have marked effective (25%),6cases have effective (18.75%),and1cases are inefficacy (3.12%), The rate of total effective is96.88%.Compared to control groups which have31case. There are9cases achieve clinical recovery (29.04%),8cases have marked effective (25.80%),10cases have effective (32.26%),and4cases are inefficacy (12.09%), The rate of total effective is87.10%.The total significant difference has statistical sense (P<0.05), In the areas of the TCM Syndrome marks, the ABI,the tcpO2, the QOL marks.both groups show significant improvements after the treatment (P<0.05). There are also have statistical sense (P<0.05) between the test groups and control groups. During follow-up, the restenosis of extremity arteries, the occurrence of eventually amputation also have statistical sense (P<0.05) between the test groups and control groups. There are no serious adverse reactions and side effects in the test. Conclusion:The treatment of diabetic lower extremity arterial disease by using endovascular intervention combined traditional Chinese medicine is efficacy and security. Compared with endovascular intervention, it could be better to alleviate the symptoms of diabetic lower extremity arterial disease. It could be improve the TCM Syndrome marks, the Ankel/brachial index (ABI),the transcutaneous oxygen pressure (tcpO2) and the quality of life (QOL) obviously. Also reduce the restenosis of extremity arteries and amputation rate effectively, improve the quality of life, alleviate the suffering of patients. And no serious adverse events and side effects be find in the test up to now. It is worthy of further promotion and application.
