| Objective:To compare retrospectively the therapeutic effects between anterior andposterior surgery in multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy(CSM) with3or moresegments.Methods:Analyse40cases with multilevel CSM from2000to2013.20patents wereoperated from anterior approach, selectively decompress and bone grating with plate fixedand Titanium Mesh Cages(group A).20cases were operated from posterior approach,withmon-open-door vertebral canal expansing laminoplasty (group B). All patents were scoredwith JOA evaluating system and calculated the recovery rate as well. Results:The follow-up period were3months to nearly2years.There were there weresignificant difference in the two groups(P<0.05), group A was higher than group B.Conclusion:Both of operating methods were effective operations to therapia multilevelCSM, however, the therapeutic effects of anterior approach were better than posteriorapproach. |
