Objective:To analyze the affected factors of fevers after percutaneous nephrostolithotomy(PCNL) and research the more effective prevention methods. Methods:To make a retropective analysis of176cases who underwent PCNL for renal calculi. Men80cases,female96cases,ages between17-78years, the stone diameters were1.2-6.5cm. the average diameter were4.2cm.We analyzed the factors such as age structure (≥60years and <60years), stones diameter(≥3.0cm and<3.0cm),the urinary tract infection, perfusion fluid volume(≥30L and <30L),and then we compared the fever rate between each factors.Result:27cases were with fever after PCNL, whose temperature were over38.5℃,taking up15.3%. None of were pyemia. Using urine culture examination.15cases were positve(55.6%). Preoperative urinary tract infection, stone sizes, operative perfusion fluid volume were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The frequency of fever and infection after PCNL are the common complication, Preoperative urinary tract infection, stone sizes, operative perfusion fluid volume are related to post-operative fever and adequate preoperative, intraoperative skilled operation and using effective antibiotics are effective measures to prevent postoperative fever.
