Objectives: To understand the basic situation of hospital dental clinic doctors andpatients, and analysis of existing problems. Based on the queuing theory model todoctors working strength and waiting time of patients with the results of the survey asindicators of calculation, and choose a more reasonable configuration physician visitsprogram, which could provide a quantitative basis for health human resourceallocation for hospital administrators. Methods: Questionnaires were designed to survey the configuration suitable fordentistry clinic visits the doctor and patient treatment situation through the consultliterature and review at home and abroad. Including a doctor’s basic situation, jobsatisfaction and maximum acceptable intensity of work intensity, the basic situation ofthe patient, waiting time satisfaction and maximum acceptable waiting time.Wequeried the dentistry outpatients for one year through the hospital HIS system, andcollected the related data; Using field daily admissions survey conducted dentistrywork hours determined by the collation of the data obtained and calculated thephysician patient admissions and basic medical service system data as needed on thebasis of the use of queuing theory to build M/M/C queuing theory model, and thestructure and behavior of stomatology clinic queuing system simulation study, doctorscan accept the premise of meeting the maximum intensity of the work and the patientcan receive the maximum waiting time, the number of visits to configure differentcomprehensive comparative analysis of the indicators doctors get a more reasonablenumber of physician visits.Results:(1) The basic situation of dentistry clinic doctor survey results: Gender: maleaccounted for43.48%, female accounted for56.52%; Age:30years accounted for33.54%,31to40years old accounted for42.86%,41to50years old accounted for 14.29%, above51years of age accounted for9.31%; education: Ph.D. accounted for14.91%,45.34%were master, undergraduate were37.89%, other accounted for1.86%;work Experience: less than10years accounted for62.72%,11to20years accountedfor19.88%,21years to30years accounted for14.29%,31years and above accountedfor3.11%; positions level: senior accounted for6.83%,13.04%were deputy senior, intermediate grade accounted for38.51%,41.62%were junior titles; nature of the job:the establishment accounted for50.93%,49.07%were employed.(2)The basic results of the surveys dentistry clinic patients: males accounted for45.48%, females accounted for54.52%; Age:20years old and under accounted for7.58%,21to30years accounting for30.32%,31to40years old accounted for21.28%,41to50years old accounting for13.12%,51years old and above accountingfor27.70%; education: high school and below accounted for35.95%, tertiary anduniversity master’s degrees accounted for58.02%, masters degree and aboveaccounted for16.03%; types of medical expenses: own expense accounted for21.28%,public expense accounting for23.91%, medical insurance accounting for54.81%;reasons for treatment: routine examination accounted for8.75%,discomfort accounted for54.23%, affect eating accounted for27.11%, aestheticconsiderations accounted for9.91%;31.49%of patients considered doctors academicand professional titles is important,68.51%of the patients pay more attention towhether doctor is serious and responsible;6.12%of the patients hope the doctors aremale,10.21%of patients want doctors are female,83.67%for patients have norequirement for physician gender;93.88%of the patients thought that doctorsexplain the treatment before the work is very important,92.42%of the patients thatmedical records is very important.(3) Stomatology physician work intensity and patient waiting time survey results:3.73%of the doctors said he was very satisfied with the work intensity,12.42%of thedoctors were satisfied,26.09%of the doctors said that it was very general, dissatisfied and very dissatisfied accounted for45.96%and11.80%, respectively, the acceptablemaximum working strength is0.88±0.11.6.71%of the patients were very satisfied,23.91%of the patients expressed satisfaction, and29.74%of the patients said that itwas very general, dissatisfied and very dissatisfied accounted for33.81%and5.83%respectively, the maximum waiting time was27.67±11.16minutes.(4)Stomatology clinic doctors configuration: one patient required medicaltreatment an average time was31.76±9.53minutes, the average service rate of1.42,on the premise of the physician work intensity does not exceed0.88and patientwaiting time does not exceed27.67minutes, then based on queuing theory softwareand the eight outpatient hospital dentistry recommended configuration is as follows:hospital A need to assigned23doctors am and19doctors pm; hospital B need toassigned32doctors am and26doctors pm; hospital C need to assigned40doctors amand34doctors pm; hospital D need to assigned27doctors am and23doctors pm;hospital E need to assigned14doctors am and12doctors pm; hospital F need toassigned19doctors am and13doctors pm; hospital G need to assigned14doctors amand10doctors pm; hospital H need to assigned20doctors am and17doctors pm.Conclusion: The staffing structure of hospital dentist is more reasonable, the currentstrength of the doctor’s job satisfaction and patient satisfaction with the overallwaiting times is low, managers should attach great importance to and adjust theintensity of the doctor’s work, to take measures for improvement, improve workefficiency and service quality. the use of queuing theory model configuration dentistrynumber of outpatient physician visits, which could be improve satisfaction of bothdoctors and patients, and provide scientific reference for hospital administrators. Itwas easy and practical, and was subject to hospital,s specific and practical situation.
