Changes On Thyroid Hormones And Sex Hormones And Thyroid Autoantibodies In Male Patients With Graves’ Disease

Objectives:To observe the changes of thyroid hormones and sex hormones after Radioiodine-131therapy in male Graves’Disease(GD) patients. To investigate the clinical effect with1311in the treatment of toxic goiter, effects were observed before and after treatment effect on the thyroid and the method to restore the state of the patient’s body.Methods:54male patients with GD, aging between22-44(32.3±6.7) years old, were treated with1311. The average dosage was111-407(202.1±54.2) MBq. The sex hormones were questionnaire score of erectile function (IIEF-5) was conducted at3months,6months and9months after1311therapy, analysis of54cases from2010May to2012December in our hospital by means of this method in treatment of diffuse toxic goiter, according to some measure of physical level, will use541311treatment of Graves disease patients were divided into two groups,35patients with positive and negative group,19patients, and close observation the content of each index before and after treatment in patients with monitoring several months.50cases of healthy people were chosen as control group.Results:As to the male patients, the level for testosterone(T),estrogen(E2), luteinizing hormone(LH) were9.9±5.7nmol/L,129.3±39.5pmol/L,9.8±5.6IU/L.The level for T,E2, and LH were higher than the male in control group (6.4±1.9nmol/L,77.6±28.6pmol/L,5.9±2.1IU/L, P<0.05). After6months treatment, the level for T (8.0±1.9nmol/L) and E2(109.3±19.9pmol/L) were lower than the patients group (P<0.05). After9months treatment,the level for T,E2, and LH were7.1±1.8nmol/L,79.8±28.0pmol/L,5.9±1.8IU/L, there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05). The IIEF-5score for patients group was15.0±4.0(5-25), which was significantly lower than that in the healthy controls (23.5±0.5;19-25),P <0.05. The score for9months after treatment were22±2.0(10-25). After9months treatment,there was no difference between the patient group and the healthy group(P>0.05).Conclusions:To male GD patients, T, E2, and LH were different and IIEF-5scores were obviously reduced. After9months treatment, the level for T E2and LH returned normal and IIEF-5scores were obviously better.In the two groups were observed in our hospital by using1311in the treatment of Graves disease,1years after the incidence of hypothyroidism was positive group and negative group the incidence rate was24.9%, the incidence rate of11.7%, and the two group the incidence level of P value is less than0.01. The use of1311treatment of Graves disease with the treatment time, the positive rate ofantibody detection of some body decreased gradually. Conclusions:To male GD patients, the level of T, E2, and LH were different and IIEF-5scores were obviously reduced. After9months1311treatment, the level of T, E2and LH returned normal and IIEF-5scores were obviouslyb better, using this method in the clinical treatment of toxic diffuse goiter can significantly reduce some protein on hormone levels of autoantibodies, can effectively promote the autoantibodies of improvement and recovery, and improve the patient’s mental state, can promote the cure in clinic.
