Effects Of Acupuncture Anti-Oxidation System On Aging

Objective: To explore the effects and mechanism of acupuncture on aging.Methods: First: Forty old people had been selected. They were divided into two groups onthe basis of randomized controlled trial. The acupuncture group was treated withacupuncture Zusanli and Guanyuan acupoint; while control group received no acupuncturetreatment. The clinic symptoms of aging, the psychological senile degree and content ofNO of pre-treatment and post-treatment were observed. Second: 30 mice were randomlyand evenly divided into young, control and acupuncture groups. Subacute aging model wasestablished by subcutaneous injection of D-galactose. We detected the change of thecontent of nitric oxide (NO), Guguangantai peroxide enzyme (GSH-PX) and catalase (CAT)of serum.Results: First: Pass through acupuncture treatment the improvement rate of clinicsymptoms of aging is 90％, surpasses the control group obviously. In acupuncture group theintegral of clinic symptoms of aging and the psychological senile degree have obviouslyreduce compares with the control group. We also detected the level of nitric oxide(NO) andthe acupuncture can increace the content of NO in aging, compares the control group tohave the significance difference. Second: passes through the experimental studyconfirmation, in serum of the aging mice the nitric oxide (NO), Guguangantai peroxideenzyme (GSH-PX) and the catalase (CAT) content reduces obviously, but the acupuncturemay increase the content of them.Conclusion: Acupuncture have effect in resisting aging by the way of inhibiting reaction offree radical and raising the activity of antioxidant enzyme Acupuncture can improves thesenile clinical symptom and the psychological senile degree. By the way it reduces theproduction the seniorcitizen body and mind disease, improves seniorcitizen’s quality of life.Final: Along with elderly society’s development, the old age population sharp increase, oldage disease increase, causes the population aging to become the question which the worldtogether faces now.In 1982 World Health Organization (WHO) took "the healthy seniorcitizen" this year world health date the subject. From this gerontology becomes thecommon people to focus attention on, develops the rapid important discipline. Theacupuncture and moxibustion is an important method to prevents and treats an illness, thisarticle intends to research the influence of acupuncture on the clinic symptoms of aging, thepsychological senile degree, the activity of antioxidant enzyme and explore the mechanismof acupuncture on aging.
