Rewriting on traditional themes was a creative approach in the field of ancient and modernliterary creation as well as a traditional. In Western, the theme of the creation of the ancientGreek and Roman myths and legends as well as the "Bible" can be traced back to the MiddleAges; in the east of the Tang and Song Dynasties literati of the early legends to transformrewriting. This creation method not only improves the acceptance of the audience, and to someextent also the author’s creative process easier. Therefore, this tradition is preserved in thecourse of history: from generation to generation of the old themes re-written a new story, andthe next generation of authors took these new stories again rewrite.In the21st century, due to the authoring environment further loose and free, so that overthe past decade more changes than before: writing more civilians, more complex and diverseliterary works. New creative environment to rewrite this method to create works of significantlyincreased: in2005, Canongate Publisher launched called "The Myth" project, invited writersworld-wide rewriting of myth, the Chinese writer Su Tong, Ye Zhaoyan also involved. In recentyears, the popularity of Web-based media and popular writing, re-interpretation of a classicaltheme before the text is common, Longitudinal observation of this "rewrites" the works, theyuse classical themes and an adaptation of the method is different, is not confined to the text infront of the historical background.This article will take a cross-comparison of the restated four Chinese works of TheMyths series. In the first part, combined with mythology, restated myth "involves a series oftheoretical issues to sort out, the concept and scope of the definition of "the myth", theNeo-mysticism’s origin and development of the first part," rewrite "in the moment for the causeof the significance of the traditional themes of innovation, as well as restated myth "plan andthe status quo. The second part of "restatement of the myth" of China’s four works, for example,and the combination of narrative theory, analysis of these "rewrite" the myths and legends ofthe character, the narrative time and space, plot structure relative to the text before change. Thethird part of the combination of text analysis and interpretation theory, discusses the practicalsignificance of the "Restatement myth" to find the author via text convey the spirit of the times.Part IV by the rewrite works of ancient and modern mythology contrast analysis of therestatement of the four novels in "The Myths series"with Chinese characteristics and thecharacteristics of the times.
