The Preliminary Study On The Liao And Jin Ancient City In Nen River

Nen River is the largest river system in Song Hua river, located in the West part ofHeilongjiang province.It has been called "Weak water","Nan rivers","Gingerly River","NaWu river" and so on, until the middle of the Qing dynasty,"NEN River"has been calledNenjiang River.Nen River concluded a large number of wetland, hills, Plains,saline-alkali.NEN River resourced the YI le hu li mountain between big and Xiao xing anmountain flowing into San ca river of the Songhua River.Nen river is circled bymountains,but the south is the Song liao plain.Nen river has been flowing slowly in the Songliao plain from north to south.It formed a vast mizusawa topography togathered with left andright on both sides of the foam Lake, Lake wetland.Liao and Jin people lived on the vegetaionand animals and fresh. Production and the way of people lives, determined their hunting,fishing, gathering, farming, nomadic as the main means of survival.Nenjiang River basin was the important military defenses, Liao and Jin rulers constructeda large number of defensive city.The ancient city protected the located people from theNorthern peoples, promoting political, economic and cultural development.Since in the1950of the20th century, with the development of archaeological excavations and fieldwork on theground in China, Liao and Jin city of nenjiang River basin have been attentioned by more andmore scholars.According to my preliminary statistics, Nenjiang River basin has been found144ancient city of Liao and Jin dynasties.Liao and Jin city of nenjiang is made up of fourareas, namely: the left bank of the upper reaches of the nenjiang River basin area in nenjiangCounty;the Nemor and Wuyuer basin in middle reaches of nenjiang River;the right bank ofthe Lower reaches of nenjiang River;NEN River and Sanshui taoer River and the secondSonghua River confluence.The most centrally located in the ancient city of nenjiang Riverright bank, the key located on the right bank of the lower reaches of taoer River.In addition,the distribution of the Liao and Jin city of nenjiang River basin also has a significant militarydefense features.The located people was protected by the ancient city of Liao and Jin from the northernpeoples, forcing a great number of Liao and Jin army living here.In order to maintain thearmy’s food supplies,a lot of land was reclaimed, while people and Han Chinese moving intothe Bohai Sea has also brought advanced production technology and tools to promote theagriculture’s development.In addition, A large number of iron, bronze and porcelain havebeen found, reflecting the commodity trading activities.
