In China, with the gradual establishment of the socialist market economy, relyingon industry-oriented service to the community and enterprise has become the guidingideology of the Higher Vocational Colleges. Inquiry-based teaching methods reform isthe key elements of Ministry of education concerned about the reform of thevocational colleges education model. Zhejiang Textile&Fashion College closelyaround the basic idea of employment-oriented, take ability as the core, establish andcontinuous improved of teaching theory system and teaching practice system.Theoretical teaching achieve essential and enough, strengthen teaching practice,integrate teaching into industry and enterprise development, establish a seriesinquiry-based teaching reform strategy.The project aim at the specific problems faced by teaching of dyeing andfinishing major, discussed the theoretical foundation of teaching reform, design andimplementation process of teaching reform via document analysis method andquestionnaire method, and combined with implementation of specific curriculum,analysed the effect of inquiry-based teaching reformThe thesis consists of five chapters, chapter one is an introduction, mainlyclarified the research background, purpose, meaning, content and methods. Chaptertwo summarized the teaching theory of Dewey, Kilpatrick, Xingzhi Tao, provide atheoretical basis for inquiry teaching method, and expound the location of studentquality, major requirement, curriculum system and teaching materials etc. Chapterthree discoursed several inquiry teaching methods of dyeing and finishing major,include course projectized, teaching-learning-doing integration, classroom contest,combining learning with doing, order mode training, etc. Chapter four analysedquestionnaire, dissected the effect of inquiry-based teaching method reform. Chapterfive is the introspection and suggestion of inquiry teaching method of dyeing andfinishing major.
