Thought Alan Ness Deep Ecology

Arne· Naess, the founder of deep ecology theory, is a famous philosopher of Norway. His deep ecological thought, the benchmark of western radical environmental ideology, marks the transition from shallow to deep, which becomes the important branch in the field of ecological philosophy. Through the analysis of the formation of nice deep ecology theory, this paper attempts to look for the causes, analyze the main thought and comment on his thought and its role to complete the research on his deep ecology theory.For the study on deep ecology of Naess, it includes the background of his deep ecology production, the main contents and specific practices of his deep ecology, its deficiency and its role in promoting Chinese construction of ecological civilization and so on.The first chapter is mainly about the background of Naess’s deep ecology production. Through the analysis of the social background, theoretical background and scientific background, it will explain that the establishment and improvement of the ideological and theoretical achievements of the deep ecology is formed in a variety of social conditions and historical background and it widely absorbs the outstanding achievements of the former. All these factors make his ideological system more perfect, more scientific, more system.The second chapter explains the main content of deep ecology of Naess, which includes the explanation of its philosophy system, ecological wisdom T and program of action, and the analysis of two highest standards of self realization principle and the doctrine of ecological centre. All these together constitute the core theory, and they are related to each other. In the following, it discusses its ideological and political claims, personal lifestyle and the concrete practice of non-violence proposition.The third part discusses the ideological criticism from different aspects, summarizes the deficiencies of the theory, and finally expounds the enlightenment and effect for the ecological civilization construction of our country.Through the analysis of the essence of deep ecology of Naess, this paper will show that under the circumstance of the current rapid development of economy, establishment of harmonious society, it is necessary to promote the construction of ecological civilization in china by rational making use of nature and following the objective law.
