A transmission system and a gating system are introduced which are buttedjoint with inclining magnesium alloy strip caster in this essay. The traditionalmagnesium alloy caster is fixed. So the relative position among caster, thetransmission system and the gating system does not change at all.While the author faced a new-type magnesium alloy caster which can rotatein within limits less than15°.The matched transmission system and gatingsystem are needed to satisfy the adjusting factor. Meanwhile the structure shouldbe designed better to improve equipment performance.The inclining caster belongs to low speed and heavy loading equipment.The center of rollers will reverse during the caster inclines. At the same time, thecasting tip will rotate. In the transmission system, the spindle balancing device isthe necessary auxiliary device which is used to offset extra load coming fromuniversal spindle. The traditional spindle balancing device can complete thechange of the angular in a vertical direction. While the horizontal change can notcome true. A new-type spindle balancing device in this essay is designed torealize the change not only in a vertical direction but in a horizontal direction.And a JLND is used in it to monitor the change of torque of the transmissionsystem. The new-type transmission system can complete large torque transferratio to output steady rotate speed and torque. And bond graph theory is appliedto the simulation of the transmission system firstly in order to show the workingcondition of the system truly.Meanwhile this essay has solved the problem, such as system seal, meltingliquid delivery, temperature control and so on, through the innovative design,which is measured to change the structure of traditional gating system, includingthe separation of front header and casting tip, the installation of heatingequipment. It also solves the problem that magnesium alloy melting liquid coolstoo quickly. The change of connecting pipe’s direction on twin-containercrucible achieves the automatic stir. To a certain degree, the temperature and composition of melting liquid will be more homogeneous. The joint port is usedto take the place of the traditional port, which can solve the contradictionbetween passageway seal and adaptive adjustment.
