In the history of seamless steel pipe production, skew rolling perforation andthen finish tube、sizing diameter and flattening is the traditional and major modeof seamless steel pipe production. But making those crafts in a mill is a greatimagine and innovation. This paper conducts the rolling process analysis onthree-roll combined piercing and rolling mill, as well as conducts theexploratory design and analysis for the hydraulic synchronous press downsystem.In contrast with2-roll piercing mill,3-roll piercing mill has its ownadvantages. This paper introduces the theoretical knowledge of the features ofdeformation zone、geometric space、Kinematics and so on, and uses useMSC.Marc finite element analysis software to make numerical simulation forrolling process on the three-roll combined piercing and rolling mill. Thecharacteristic of metal flow、stress-strain and Plastic deformation are analyzed.After field experiments, those simulation results are proved to be significancefor site commissioning and actual production.For3-roll piercing mill, the press down device is one of the key equipment.Press down device can influence the quality of seamless steel pipe directly. Nomatter strip or steel pipe, its accurate production must possess accurate andreliable press down device. Unlike strip hydraulic AGC, it is necessary tocontrol three rolls synchronously for3-roll mill, so it can adjust roll gapaccurately. The synchronization of three rolls is very important. According tothis, this paper puts forward a hydraulic synchronous press down system tocontrol the three rolls accurately. AMESim software is used to analyze the staticstate and dynamic of the hydraulic system. After computer numerical simulationanalysis, the system can meet production needs. Finally, the design is availablefor3-roll mill to regulate it synchronous press down system after fieldexperiments.
