Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Clinical Efficacy Qi Huatanquyu Therapy

ObjectiveThis study analyses western medicine etiology, pathology and management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and use of yiqi resolve Phlegm and Remove blood stasis method with western medicine therapy and western medicine therapy for randomized treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.It was designed to examine the efficacy in stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients treated with the Chinese Herbs prescription "yiqi resolve Phlegm and Remove blood stasis formula",and to lay the foundation for exploring the therapeutic effect of treatment of various stable COPD syndrome.Methods51patients who conform to the diagnostic criteria and TCM syndrome type belong to lung qi deficiency,spleen qi deficiency,kidney qi deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis transresistance were randomly divided into TCM group(26cases) and control group(25cases).The control group was treated according to Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease(GOLD) program,and the TCM group was treated by the TCM Prescription"resolve Phlegm and Remove blood stasis formula" as well as by the standardized GOLD program.The treatment lasted two months.Efficacy was assessed by COPD Assessment Test(CAT),MMRC,and all the symptom score before and after treatment were compared.ResultsAll the51patients were divided into two group randomly,the TCM group has26persons,and the control group (western medicine group) has25persons.During the2months,7persons fall off,so the number of people involved in statistcs is44.The mean age of the patients was68.32±20.32, the minimum age was48years old, maximum age86years old.males25cases(56.82%)and female19cases(43.18%).The mean history was12.61±1.49years. The proportion of smoking is81.82%,smoking index was748.75.The most common complications included cardio-cerebrovascular disease(79.55%), Respiratory system diseases (77.27%) digestive system diseases (54.55%), Metabolic abnormalities disease(65.91%), diseases of urinary system (38.64%) and other disease (18.18%). The patients at high risk of occupational history account for70.45%.Statistical balance analysis remands that all the data have good consistency.The change of FEV1,CAT score,mMRC in the tcm group (P<0.05)was superior to the control group(P>0.05).In the change of FEV1/FVC%and6WMT,there was no significant between the TCM group and the control group(P>0.05).The main symptoms:the TCM group (P<0.05)was superior to the control group(P>0.05).The TCM syndrome:in lung qi deficiency,the tcm group (P<0.05)was superior to the control group(P>0.05),the obvious effective rate,the effective rate,the inefficiency and aggressive rate were25%,40%,10%and0respectively in the TCM group,while those of the control group were0,36.84%,42.11%,21.05%(P<0.05).In spleen qi deficiency,the tcm group (P<0.05)was superior to the control group(P>0.05),the obvious effective rate,the effective rate,the inefficiency and aggressive rate were12%,56%,28%and4%respectively in the TCM group,while those of the control group were15.79%,47.37%,5.26%,31.58%(P<0.05).In kidney qi deficiency,the tcm group (P<0.05)was superior to the control group(P>0.05),the obvious effective rate,the effective rate,the inefficiency and aggressive rate were20%,48%,28%and4%respectively in the TCM group,while those of the control group were0,31.58%,36.84%,31.58%(P<0.05).In phlegm syndrome,the tcm group (P<0.05)was superior to the control group(P>0.05),the obvious effective rate,the effective rate,the inefficiency and aggressive rate were12%,48%,24%and12%respectively in the TCM group,while those of the control group were0,5.26%,31.58%,47.37%(P<0.05).In stasis syndrome, the tcm group (P<0.05)was superior to the control group(P>0.05),the obvious effective rate,the effective rate,the inefficiency and aggressive rate were24%,52%,20%and4%respectively in the TCM group,while those of the control group were15.79%,47.37%,5.26%,31.58%(P<0.05).Each index (P>0.05) in blood routine test(RBC, WBC, PLT, NEUT), liver function test(ALT, AST)and renal function test(BUN, CRE) has no change before and after treatment.ConclusionCOPD is a chronic disease and has a long clinical history.lt gradully develops into lung qi deficiency,then spleen qi deficiency and kidney qi deficiency.The lung is the upper source of fluids and keeps the normal flowing of body fluids.The kidney controls water metabolism and spleen controls digestion.All of this will lead to fluid retention and the formation of blood stasis.The pathology is deficiency ben and excessive biao.Phlegm and stasis are not only pathological product but pathogenic factors and lead to the disease incurable and lasting a long time.The TCM Prescription"yiqi and resolve Phlegm and Remove blood stasis formula"effect on the basic of interpretation of the cause,and has obvious curative effect in treating stable COPD,and it can improve the symptoms score, FEV1and other indicators in pulmonary function and reduce the probability of AECOPD.It has remarkable curative effect and also control the condition stably,effectively slow down the progression of the disease.
