Correlation Between TCM Syndromes And Laboratory Parameters

Background:Diabetes is a Chronic noncommunicable diseases that contemporary seriously affect the life of patients. Research shows that some modern laboratory indexes are associated with TCM syndrome types of diabetes.these laboratory indexes will be guidances for clinical syndrome differentiation.Objective:This experiment observed the FBG,ALT, UA, Cr,CHO,L-DLC of diabetes patients, trying to explore the correlation between laboratory indexes and diabetes syndrome differentiation. Filtrating the related laboratory indexes indicate the clinical treatment.Method:This research gather786cases of diabetes from Beijing dongcheng district community health service center, collecting statistics of the FBG, ALT, UA, Cr, CHO, L-DLC of diabetes patients, and exploring the correlation between laboratory indexs and diabetes syndrome differentiation.Results:1. This study, sex and age of786cases of diabetic patients with different TCM syndrome types were no obvious difference (P>0.05).2.28.4%of the cases is qi and Yin deficiency type,more than other type. patients with spleen qi deficiency and qi type proportion is less than other types, only accounted for1.1%and1.9%.3. soreness and weakness of waist and knees, easy to tired, thirsty are the top three of Symptoms of statistical, for40.8%,26.1%and23.2%,4. Gastrointestinal hot junction was positively correlated with fasting plasma glucose (P<0.05, B=0.152), fasting blood sugar is higher, the more chance of a gastrointestinal hot junction.5. Hot and humid type negatively correlated with creat inine (P<0.05, B=0.028), creat inine is higher, the less chance of Hot and humid type happen. Hot and humid type and Alt (P<0.05, B=0.014) were positively correlated, Alt is higher, the more chance of Hot and humid type happen.6. Liver meridian heat type (P<0.05, B=0.03) and uric acid were positively correlated, uric acid is higher, the greater chance of Liver meridian heat type happen.Conclusion:1. soreness and weakness of waist and knees, easy to tired, thirsty are the top three of Symptoms of statistical, indicates that qi and Yin deficiency type is still the main type of diabetes.2.FBG Can be used as gastrointestinal hot junction type reference index.3. Cr, Alt can be used as hot and humidtype reference index.4. UA can be used as Liver meridian heat type reference index.
