Humans are the primary factor of influencing the social development as well as one of the most significant aspects of influencing international people’s living. Therefore, the current situation has been one of the primary research subject and it also directly decide the main demography element of the future population size and population reproduction process. So it is required that the fertility level in each period changes towards stable orientation in order to corporate the development of population, society and economy. Having a research on judging whether the fertility level develops towards stable orientation is of much significance. Our country is a multi-nationality country including56nationalities and55minorities among that. There are wide differences among the minorities in the area of economy situation and population size. The difference of fertility level is a non-neglected factor. The6th national census provides the fertility information of every nationality’s child-bearing women, which allows us to have a timely and comprehensive view on the differences and changing characters of every minorities’fertility level, fertility modes and fertility behaviors. Therefore, it is of great significance to research and analyze every minorities’fertility status based on the6th national census. This paper researches on our country’s minorities’fertility situation and takes the total population, the number of child-bearing women and infants respectively in the whole country, the Han nationality and55minorities as research objects. The paper carried out a horizontal analysis and a vertical analysis on coarse fertility rate, general fertility rate, fertility rate in different child-bearing ages, sum fertility rate and marital fertility rate.etc. which are indexes of measuring fertility rate and population reproduction rate. In horizontal analysis, we analyzed every index of the minorities’fertility rate, observed their highest and lowest fertility rate and presented the analysis of causes. In vertical analysis, we compared the data change between the5th census and6th census of all the minorities and presented the influencing factors of changes of the minorities’fertility situation in the decade.Because our minority areas are mainly located in the faraway and less developed central and western regions and the research on fertility level is based on the survey of the10percent sampling data in Long-Tables, the statistic data has inevitable deficiency. In order evaluate the minorities’fertility level effectively and objectively, the paper had a representative study using the6th census data of minorities whose population size is larger than1million and took a horizontal and vertical (between5th census and6th census) analysis on our county’s minorities. The paper analyzed the fertility level as well as fertility modes of every minority. In chapter4, we summarized the fertility measurement and mode researched by domestic and overseas demographers. They presents the measurement including coarse fertility rate, general fertility rate, fertility rate in different child-bearing ages, sum fertility rate and marital fertility rate etc. and their advantages and defects in measuring fertility level. This paper analyzed the whole country’s every minority’s fertility level based on the6th census in2010and presented related causes.
