Scientific practice and training of sports has proved that power quality is one of the most important and ways which can decide and improve athletes’ performance. Reasonable and effective strength training can increase athletes’ muscle strength and increased muscle fiber dimension, which can provide strong guarantee to improve the stability and harmony of athlete body and has a significant effect to improve nerve for muscle control. As a training concept introduced from the field of rehabilitation medicine in recent years,"core strength training" has been recognized by many coaches and scientific researchers worldwide. With its unique and new thinking, the idea mode breaks the previous strength training chains and shows a good effect in the training quality, training efficiency and training effect, which makes it widely used. As China’s emerging gold medal project, competitive swimming project has become China’s main corporation in the construction of sports power while a group of elite athletes are emerging in large numbers. Competitive swimming project is divided to four different swimming strokes because of its inherent character and the limitation of competition rules, which should be treated differently according to the different characters in different special training. The study explores diversities of different swimming strokes in the core strength training load and methods from the internal differences and the differences of training principle and methods and then analysis and compares the diversities that the core strength training using in different competitive swimming stroke. Finally basic functional carriers and approaches for improving modern competitive swimming projects and motion image have been proposed, in order to provide theory for sports training practice work.
