Siemens S7PLC control system was adopted in regenerative continuousheating furnace of Rolling Plant,Pingxiang Iron&Steel Co.,Ltd.,toachieve various control functions.The paper has discussed how to controlreheating furnace,which is a complicated industrial Controlled object,with process automation control in the PLC platform,and the improvingproject to the2#reheating furnace in the plate rolling mill in PingxiangIron and Steel Company has constituted its background.The paper has started with the analysis to the technology of theregenerative reheating furnace, the control strategy of generativeheating furnace is presented,such as fully distributed estimatingchangeover control,and variable bias double cross limit control isapplied in temperature control,as well as the furnace pressure and smoketemperature are considered comprehensively for smoke exhaust control,Furnace temperature optimal setting.etc.After the mensioned abovemeasures have been carried out the system adjusting response speed isimproved,the extemal disturbance influence to combustion control iseffectively conquered.The stability of furnace temperature control isensur and the oxidative losing and elding expense are reduced. Hasachieved the anticipated effect.These control strategy is realizated with Siemens S7-400PLC. In thispaper,the general design,system hardware configuration,and theselection of main equipment of the control system for the regenerative heating furnace are introduced in detail, to provide the hardware supportfor realization of different functions of control.the entire design ofPLC programmes has been finished with STEP7programme softwares.According to the technology characteristics of the heating furnace,configurated of monitered frames and HMI of the heating furnace with theWinCC circumstance. sharpen to realize the control strategy of theregenerative reheating furnace by PLC programming and WinCC monitorand control configuration pictures.In this paper of the chapter6,thetest and process for PLC Control System is described.The last chapter has made a conclusion to the whole paper. The actualproduction results shown that the system was designed reasonablyreliably and could meet the control requirements of the production ofsteel rolling.
