Heating furnace is one of the important equipments in industrial production.Regenerative heating furnace is a new type of heating furnace, which applies the regenerativehigh-temperature air burning technology to heating furnace. Comparing to the traditional one,the new type one gains the advantage of energy saving and high thermal efficiency. In heatingfurnace control system, temperature is the main control object with the characteristics ofnon-linear, large inertia and hysteresis. Traditional control technology has the shortcomings oflow accuracy and poor temperature uniformity, and also has low furnace process techniquelevel and sever energy consumption problem.This research subject is according to the reality, using regenerative heating furnace ofcertain company as reaching object, combining the advanced furnace control theory andcontrol strategy to study and design the regenerative heating furnace control system. Thissystem consists of upper and lower parts, having achieved the communication between uppercomputer and lower computer through PPI protocol. The upper machine part is used forprocess monitoring, parameter modification and data query, etc., the lower machine partcompletes field data collection, calculation and control by the PLC. Temperature controlstrategy is based on fuzzy PID control of pulse combustion to ensure a high furnacetemperature accuracy.Since the device is running, we can conclude,via the relevant historical curve and thescreen of upper machine, that the control system controls temperature accuracy within±5℃,and relative error is less than1%, which fully meets the technical requirements. The systemis stable and reliable, and the furnace temperature enjoys good stability and uniformity. Withhigh degree of automation, easy field operation, intuitive and convenient upper machinemonitoring, it reduced energy consumption and emissions, which shows the great actualproduction value and economic value.
