Drawing pumping unit well trajectory and downhole operation pipe strings under the environment of different wells is an important issue in the field of virtual reality. How to use the subject to display the trajectory and downhole operation pipe strings in a virtual scene in the show in front of the staff with a 3D visualization platform, to enhance the understanding of engineering workers of the kinematics model and the anti abrasion scheme.Researching in this area has a broad application prospect and high application value.This paper analysis and studies the trajectory rendering algorithm, and on the basis of that study further of 3D display technology in wellbore; analysis and compares of various inclinometry algorithm. According to the actual needs selects the inclinemetry calculation model for the wellbore trajectory prediction model for drawing, the simulation of downhole operation pipe strings has been drawn to adapt to the needs of the production of oilfield according to the formed well type, the whole process was presented in 3D visualization way.This paper presents a new drawing method for well trajectory, uses VSL language to draw point, line and surface, makes wellbore trajectory curve into tube shape, designs the man-machine interactive function for trajectory and enhances system’s interest. Through the reading of the 3D model, the setting of the center axis, the model localization and the collision detection, the downhole operation pipe strings are accomplished.This subject aims to establish the oil pumping virtual experiment platform, using 3D visualization technology, combining a variety of business data and business knowledge to establish a 3D visualization model of wellbore, 3D static simulation of downhole operation pipe strings, used for underground operation guidance and management, to help the underground person exchanges and mutual cooperate. It can also be used for well trajectory simulation which shows the life cycle of the underground pipe strings. Through the real-time dynamic 3D trajectory rendering and free assembly underground pipe strings, to display underground mining in three dimensional way, let users immerse in the virtual environment, to understand and grasp the specific production process and the underground operation, formulate a series of scientific principles and production norms. It is of great significance to provide powerful decision support for engineering person.
