In recent years, more and more national attention are paid to the safety in production of coal mine. Because of the uncontrollable factors and complex underground environment, accidents have occurred from time to time. After the accident occurred, the most critical thing is the rescue. Due to the present situation that the development of our country’s mine rescue communication technology is comparatively slow, equipment is relatively backward and there are some extent affects the rescue effect, so the study of emergency rescue communication system is very necessary. This paper mainly discuss the part of the wireless transmission of audio and video.It’s the front end of the rescue communication system, The audio and video information will transmit to the PC terminal first and then to the ground rescue command through the wire.Wireless communication technology has been rapid development since the twentieth century, and has been widely applied in monitoring security and other fields. After the accident, the wired communication almost paralyzed and rewiring is time-consuming and laborious.If we improvised a WLAN based on the wireless communication technology, it can rapidly realize the transmission of audio and video under the shaft with low cost and high flexibility.This paper takes the chip ARM9 and the microprocessor of S3C2440 A as the core to build the hardware platform system. And on the basis of this platform, we transplant embedded Linux operating system and construct temporary WLAN through the Wi-Fi wireless network card and the wireless router to realize the acquisition to the PC wireless transmission of audio and video. The paper on the part of the hardware modules are analyzed in detail, the part of the hardware includes microprocessor S3C2440 A, audio and video acquisition module, Wi-Fi communication module, power supply module, a storage module and a variety of communication interface modules and so on. In the software design, the paper introduces that how to build the development environment of embedded system, kernel porting, bottom driver and application program development process and so on. Through experimental verification, the audio and video transmission effect is good, the image is clear,and the system achieve the expected goal. Finally, the thesis has carried on the analysis and summary and put forward the prospect about the future research.
