Cement production mainly depends on continuous dynamic system, in fact, discrete quality is also one of its characteristics. For the continuous process of grate cooler, mutation conditions often contribute to system unstability. Therefore, in order to achieve the best operating state of grate cooler, we need to combine the mutation conditions of discrete grate cooler and the grate cooler’s continuous dynamic characteristic to form a hybrid dynamic system. This paper based on the current condition of grate cooler model in China, and there are still some problems with the grate cooler, such as few control points, the nature of nonlinear, large time delay, time varying and the complicated conditions of grate cooler’s cooling process. with the theory of Mixed Logical Dynamical, which continuous dynamic, discrete dynamic as well as the logic relationship between them, then we built a hybrid model of grate cooler, the main achievements as followed:(1) According to the current study of grate cooler model and development of hybrid modeling method, based on the actual cement enterprises and associated with the practical operation experience as well as obtaining the actual parameter, We built the hybrid structure grate cooler model, which is based on the theory of MLD.(2) By applying the fuzzy clustering algorithm to obtain the work point of hybrid structure model, We built a discrete model of hybrid structure model and continuous variable dynamic model.(3) We built the six single input and single output continuous variable dynamic models and four double input and single output continuous variable dynamic models. And verified respectively, which had a good emulating effects.
