Centrifuge is a very important solid-liquid separation equipment in pharmaceutical enterprises. The current large-scale industrial production environment require it to be highly efficient, energy saving, and able to operate continuously. Besides, its working site usually involves inflammable and explosive materials. That’s why enterprises demand the centrifuge to upgrade its safety, efficiency, energy conservation.This paper is to study the control system of centrifuge. The speed control system of centrifuge is compose of frequency converter and programmable logic controller(PLC). Man-machine interface(touch screen) is used to perform real-time monitoring and data exchange in order to make the operation process easier and quicker.In the meantime, for the purpose of energy-saving and emission-reduction, an improvement is made as far as the vintage brake system is concerned by adopting highly efficient and energy-saving feedback brake system and stop using the energy-consuming brake system which works with brake unit and brake resistance. Thus it can realize regenerative energy recycling and avoid waste of energy. By designing the control system, the centrifuge is able to operate with high efficiency, energy conservation, and safety.
