With the end of the civil and foreign wars in Iraq, several Chinese petroleum companies had signed contracts about oilfield service with Iraq, making the amount of on-site operation increased largely, as well as the requirement of oilfield management. This paper is based on the Missan oilfield services project, considering about its work nature, geography, climate, environment, safety situation, technical requirements put forward a kind of Wellhead Intelligent Monitoring System which is based on the oilfield SCADA system. The Wellhead Intelligent Monitoring System is indispensable to oilfield SCADA system, continuously improving on the efficiency and quality of oilfield control system; while, it has its own independent system which combines computer technology, instrument control technology, solar technology with mining technology to make high oil well production efficiency, high management efficiency, low security cost and low oil production cost, to realize intelligent, unmanned, remote real-time monitoring.Firstly, proposed and designed an oilfield SCADA system including three layers: dispatching center, degassing station, wellhead monitoring system. Then, refer to the relevant design standards and requirements, combining with the special properties of Missan oilfield, designed and drew the PFD diagram, PID diagram of Wellhead Intelligent Monitoring System, as well as the electrical circuit diagram of security part. After that, expounded the necessity, feasibility and advantage of application of computer monitoring and control system, discussed the process and requirements of monitoring and controlling, gave the detection and control parameter list, proposed the type selection of monitoring instrument, upper machine, as well as the configuration scheme of PLC hardware. Then, determined the specific software development plan of Wellhead Intelligent Monitoring System, including designed and programed the monitoring system by Step7which used the classic PID control algorithm, designed and built the monitoring interface by ForceControl6.0. At last, established the communication of PLC and upper machine by industrial Ethernet network, and did the simulation experiments in the laboratory conditions.Through laboratory simulation experiments showed that the theory of this paper is correct; the design is reasonable; the system program is effective and feasible; the intelligent, unmanned, remote real-time monitoring can be realized; the security, reliability, efficiency of Wellhead Intelligent Monitoring System can be guaranteed. Above all, this system is value for popularization.
