The pelletizing process often is composed of chain grate-rotary kiln-ring cold machine namely the grate kiln process. The production process has high yield, good quality, continuous production etc. But at the same time it has a complex three major equipment, especially the heat balance, which belongs to the multi input multi output and the typical lag control system. So whether the manual operation, or the design of control algorithms in order to achievement with intelligent control methods, it is difficulty. The control effect of three major equipment determines the quality of pellet production, is the key point of pellet production control.Three major equipment pellet production as the project background, according to the operation and IO point on the production line of research, developed respectively for three main control system of hardware and software interface. The configuration of software and hardware of PLC and host computer of the system is using Rockwell product.Distribution of hardware PLC system contains a frame, power supply, CPU input and output module and the network module, and other low-voltage devices and cabinet installation board hardware system.The main part of the software with RSLinx and Factory talk SE, the former for the network connection, the latter for operation interface.More important, the control mode abstracts the three host is collected from production line instruments in the data according to the pellet process principle, established three host material balance model and the temperature field, the heat balance model of the temperature field control system principle diagram and the system structure diagram, for heat distribution analysis of chain grate dehydration rate, pellet roasting process. The mesh grate material layer, migration, through the pellet moisture of each grid magnetite oxidation and heat transfer behavior, establish chain grate bed temperature, moisture, oxidation rate distribution model, and gives the grate bed temperature, moisture and oxygen ratio distribution.Three major equipment’s model formula, combined with the fuzzy control theory, fuzzy rules and main control parameters of the design control table, completed the design and Simulation of fuzzy control.using intelligent control method, to reduce the working pressure, the core of the production line control technology to obtain precipitate, both are of great significance for the sustainable production line of product quality and production.
