In recent years, with the rapid development of our economy and the gradual improvement of the living standards, the water consumption is growing year by year. A large number of city sewage treatment plants were built to reduce the emissions of pollutants, and the water environment is improved to some extent. However, the high energy consumption and high cost of their operation process have become the bottleneck of the plant’s normal development. Therefore, it is particularly important to evaluate the sewage treatment plant energy consumption scientifically and then look for the improvement of the energy saving measures. This paper takes the energy consumption issues of sewage treatment A/O process as the object of study. Combining the operation characteristics of process and the measured data of some sewage treatment plant, we built the seasonal comprehensive energy evaluation systems. These result will provide scientific basis for developing the measures of sewage energy saving. Main work of this dissertation is described as the following:1. We analyze the current situation of sewage treatment plant operation, and understand the practical operation of A/O process model. AHP is established for the seasonal energy evaluation system of A/O process, and a comparative for the seasonal energy evaluation system of A/O process, and a conclusion in different seasons is given. According to the analysis of the evaluation result, the measures of reducing energy consumption are proposed in the existing technology status.2. It is an important goal for saving energy and reducing consumption to reduce the sewage treatment cost. Based on analysis of relationship between the energy consumption of sewage treatment and environment factors, operation parameters and effect of sewage treatment, 16 seasonal factors related with the sewage treatment process are selected, with each of them classified into three grades according to the monitoring data, and the grey correlation analysis is used for the energy consumption evaluation. Comparison results show that the current sewage treatment process mode is more suitable for summer operation, and is reasonable in spring and autumn, while the winter operation wastes more energy. It is suggested the operation parameters should be adjusted in winter to reduce energy consumption in the premise of the effluent water satisfactory to the discharge standard.3. Based on the basis characteristics of the existing domestic sewage treatment process and distribution of energy consumption, the energy consumption calculation method of each sewage treatment unit is summarized. As an example, the unit energy consumption value of some sewage treatment plant is calculated. The energy saving potential is analyzed.
