Fused magnesia is a sort of super refractory material with high melting point, strong anti-oxidant and slag resistance, which is widely used in the field of aerospace, nuclear industry and metallurgy etc. Currently, the main producing method is electro fusion method and fused magnesium furnace is the main production equipment. During the smelting process, the stability of the three-phase smelting currents and low energy consumption per ton are vital for the final product. During the smelting process, it is nonlinear, time-varying, external disturbances, bad producing environment and need complex control algorithm; however, it is difficult to apply the complex algorithm to current controllers like PLC etc. Consequently, there exit a lot of difficult points such as the high energy consumption and producing instability during the smelting process.This thesis is supported by national basic research program of China (973 Program, NO 2009CB320601). Based on technology innovation plat of industrial process integrated automation, this thesis makes a lot of research and develops embedded operation optimal control system software for fused magnesia furnace. The software is developed based on the embedded controller and operation optimal control algorithm because the present control software is lack of supporting for complicated algorithm. Finally, industrial application shows the effective of the embedded operation optimal control system software.The main works of this thesis are as follows:(1) According to the smelting process of fused magnesium furnace and the requirement analysis, the scheme of embedded operation optimal control system software for fused magnesia furnace is designed in this thesis, and both hardware and software development platform are selected, respectively.(2) Then, the functions of the embedded operation optimal control system software for fused magnesia furnace are designed respectively;(3) Then, the embedded operation optimal control system software for fused magnesia furnace is developed, including the data acquisition module, data handling module, control module, data output module, monitoring module and data update module, which are developed through selected software platform respectively.(4) Series of experiments are carried out to test and verify the embedded operation optimal control system software for fused magnesia furnace, including the real-time simulation experiment based on RTW and External mode, fused magnesium furnace hardware-in-loop simulation system experiment based on MATLAB and industrial experiment. The results show that the system software is effective and the predicted goal can be achieved via the system software.
