This paper mainly introduces how to establish a standard status monitoring system and clarifies the equipments which should be monitored, the detecting spots arrangements and how to comprehensively use the vibration data and process data. This paper also discusses how to make the status monitoring system function more effectively to develop predictive maintenance system and make progress on equipment management, promote skill and efficient of management, so as to ultimately convert to production and profits of the plant.The paper includes several parts such as the research on on-line monitoring system for turbine-drive compressor units, the general introduction of common failures of major turbine-drive compressor units in the plant, the predictive maintenance system and management system based on on-line monitoring system, the diagnosis cases of on-line monitoring on major compressor units in the plant, from which the conclusion is made.The status monitoring system of turbine-drive compressor units plays a very important and active role on predictive maintenance and management of equipments.For the status monitoring, the most important are analyzing features of failures and diagnosing the failures. The goal of predictive maintenance could be achieved successfully only when the equipment management is strengthened and the equipment managing stuff has a higher technology analysis skill.Moreover, some factors are very critical for promoting the effect of status monitoring including setting scientific and reasonable detecting spots for vibration and process parameter, establishing a standard status monitoring system, summarizing failure mechanism, analysis methods and typical failure cases.Considering to the cost of on-line status monitoring, the status of common equipments such pumps can be off-line monitored. Establishing a combined monitoring system can help to improve predictive maintenance system.
