This article is developed by LFC production of coatings, By adopting the method of single factor test, to determine the type and content of the refractory material, the binder, the suspension sing orthogonal test andrange analysis,to find the optimal coating formula.The content of silica and bauxite is 30:70, and the content of graphite powder 5%, the content of talc is 7.5%, the content of sodium bentonite is 2%, the content of CMC is 1.5%, the content of starch is 2%, the content of sodium silicate is 2%, the right amount of each additive, the coating has good viscosity, room temperature, permeability, low temperature crack resistance.The content of silica powder and alumina powder was 20:80, the co ntent of graphite powder 5%, the content of talc is 7.5%, the content of sodium bentonite is 1.5%, the content of CMC is 1.5%, the content of starch is2.5%, the content of sodium silicate is 2 %, each additive amount, the coatings has good comprehensive performance.The content ratio of zircon powder and quartz powder was 40:60, and the content of graphite powder 5%, the content of talc is 7.5%, the content of sodium bentonite is 2 %, the content of the CMC is1.5%, the content of starch is 2.5%, the content of sodium silicate is 2%, the right amount of each additive, its good overall performance.After casting experimental Bauxite, quartz powder as refractory, graphite powder and talcum powder as refractory materials, starch and sodium silicate as binder, sod ium base bentonite and CMC as suspending agent of LFC coatings, coating suspension, low temperature crack resistance, viscosity, room temperature, permeability, flow resistance and other properties, EPS pattern can be uniformly coated surface to dry cracking phenomenon does not appear, in the form after casting housing, reduced temperature after the shell will automatically fall off, it will be relatively smooth casting surfaces. According to the experimental results and the economy, the alumina and silica powder as refractory coatings for Lost Foam Casting(LFC)- scale production of cast iron.
