Porphyry copper deposit is the main source of copper and molybdenum,according to statistics,about 75%of the world's copper is derived from porphyry deposits,Since the beginning of this century,more than 10 large porphyry copper deposits including the Shangri-La copper deposit in Yunnan which is the main study object in the paper have been discovered in China.At present,the comprehensive recovery of copper and molybdenum has been facing with technical problems such as poor selection of reagent,poor quality of concentrates and difficult to separate copper and molybdenum.Its high efficiency and recovery of resources of porphyry copper ore is a difficult problem in beneficiation.This paper identify the associated relationship and particle size distribution characteristics of main minerals in the ore through the study of process mineralogy,and then finding a suitable route for the efficient recycling of this kind of ore.The mineralogical studies on the experimental ore samples show that the copper content in the ore is 0.58%,the main copper mineral in the ore is chalcopyrite,and most of them are united with the feldspar and quartz;The molybdenum content is 0.015%,the main molybdenum mineral in the ore is molybdenite,the overall disseminated grain size of molybdenite is in the range of 0.025?0.1mm,its disseminated grain size is favorable for mineral recovery.Flotation test results show that in copper-molybdenum bulk flotation test,the mixed concentrate with copper grade of 29.64%,copper recovery rate of 69.17%,molybdenum grade of 0.795%and molybdenum recovery rate of 71.54%is obtained through the open circuit of one roughing,three cleaning and two scavenging by using C5460 as collector,F425 as the foaming agent and lime as the adjusting agent.In copper-molybdenum separation test,the molybdenum concentrate of grade 48.91%and recovery 65.33%,and the copper concentrate of grade 29.11%and recovery rate of 87.82%are obtained through the open circuit of one roughing,five cleaning and one scavenging by using the kerosene as a collector to collect molybdenum,sodium sulfide and D610 mixed as inhibitor to inhibit chalcopyrite,and sodium silicate as the regulator.A total process of closed-circuit test is carried out on the basis of copper-molybdenum bulk flotation test and copper-molybdenum separation test,the molybdenum concentrate with a yield of 0.02%,molybdenum grade of 45.03%,molybdenum recovery rate of 73.07%is obtained,and the copper grade and recovery rate are 28.63%and 87.54%in copper concentrate.According to the flow structure and pharmaceutical system of the laboratory test,the stage flotation of bulk flotation with a capacity of 0.72t/d is carried out,the mixed concentrate with yield of 1.68%,copper grade of 27.95%,copper recovery rate of 82.37%,molybdenum grade of 0.75%and molybdenum recovery rate of 84.14%is obtained,and laboratory test results are basically consistent.
