During the period of " 11 Five-year Plan", the environmental protection of our country has made positive progress, but the environmental situation is still grim, the coal based energy structure has led to high atmospheric pollutant emissions, the regional air pollution problems are becoming increasingly prominent. To this end, the "national environmental protection of 12 Five-year Plan " proposed to reduce the total emissions of major pollutants reduced by 8%, coal fired power plant comprehensive desulfurization efficiency increased to more than 93%.On the other hand, China is a serious shortage of energy resources in the country. Oil, natural gas per capita recoverable reserves of only 7.7% and 7.1% of the world average, the relatively rich reserves of coal is only 58.6% of the world’s average level of energy saving, the country from the last century, 80 years began to put forward the principle of energy conservation, and began to develop energy conservation laws and regulations, the new energy conservation law to save resources to become China’s basic national policy, energy conservation work has become a state, event.Environmental protection and energy saving are the basic national policy, but in the process of the development of the contradictions, increase the efficiency of desulfurization and easy to increase energy consumption, in violation of the national energy saving control of the direction, while increasing the production cost of power generation enterprises, to bring huge pressure on power generation enterprises. Therefore, in meeting the requirements of national emission reduction must consider the energy saving optimization research, for the use of the most energy-efficient way to carry out environmental protection and operation.In this paper, the main influencing factors of 300 MW unit desulfurization system in a power plant are analyzed, the main factors affecting the system energy consumption and the desulfurization efficiency are analyzed. The energy saving and improving the efficiency of the system are studied:(1) in the improvement of the efficiency of the proposed reform, the energy conservation and collaborative optimization study was selected to ensure that the environmental protection requirements and the most energy-efficient retrofit scheme was selected. After the transformation of the implementation of the authority of the third party performance tests, the results show that: the load is higher than the design load value 32%, the entrance SO2 concentration is higher than the design value of 10%, the same amount of limestone consumption, the desulfurization efficiency is still reached 91%, 95.45% higher than the design efficiency of 4.45%, also higher than the government’s "Twelfth Five Year" planning requirements of 93%.(2) provided the implementation of the transformation of the effect, the desulfurization system energy-saving optimization operation of, implementation of outage part of the slurry circulating pump, outage GGH low discharge machine leakage, and outage mist eliminator flushing pump scheme in. Data show that: after energy optimization operation, every year can save energy 2471296.5 kilowatts, if in accordance with the electricity tariff of 0.42 yuan per kilowatt hour, you can save up to 1037944.53 yuan per year.
