Laser cutting machine is the important machine tool in the modern mechanical manufacturing. High speed and high precision have become the development trend of laser cutting machine. The structure design of laser cutting machine need be promoted in order to ensure the precision and stability of products. The beam is the critical parts of laser cutting machine and determines the machine’s performance. It is necessary to research on structural analysis and dynamic optimization of laser cutting machine.The main research content and contribution are summarized as follows:1. Static and dynamic stiffness modeling of linear guideways were analyzed. Firstly, based on Hertz’s contact theory, a theoretical model for stiffness of linear rolling guideways was established. Next, as a basis, the influence factors on its stiffness were analyzed. Compared with the finite model, it is suggested that the theoretical model was reasonable and reliable; At last, using component analysis was used to identify the dynamic parameters and using spring damper unit established the equivalent dynamic model;2. A simulation study combing ADAMS and Hyperworks on the rigid-flexible coupling model of laser cutting machine has been done. Firstly, based on muti-body theory and C-B fixed interface compent mode synthesis, the rigid--flexible coupling model was established; Next, the acceleration of machine was tested, Through FRF method to obtain the relationship between acceleration and frequency, The accelerate-frequency was analyzed and the frequency of laser cutting machine was obtained. At last, Through the muti-body simulation, the machine’s precision and the influence of beam’s deformation on laser cutting machine were researched;3. The dynamic characteristic and influence factors on laser cutting machine were analyzed. The modal experiment was done to verify reliablility of finite element model; modal analysis and frequency response analysis were implemented to identify which frequency and modal shape have more important influence on laser cutting machine; The influence factors on laser cutting machine were investigated; All these work give clues on laser cutting machine design;4. The structural optimization method was proposed. In the conceptual model design stage, the conceptual model of beam was established by variable density method in optistruct. In the optimization, topology optimization problems are carried out which based on the natural frequencies and structure compliance. Compared with original design, the new structure not only reduce the weight, but also improve the static and dynamic performance of laser cutting machine.
