On-line measurement of cold-rolled strip shape is one of the most critical measuring instruments in the modern rolling system. This technology has been mastered in the hands of Siemens, ABB and other large foreign companies. In addition, flatness detection researches still have many problems to be solved in China. For these reasons, this thesis puts forward a scheme of using FPGA to collect and process the signals of a piezoelectric plate shape detector. The real-time detection and the theoretic and experimental study of the real-time detection and processing technology of shape signal are carried out. The main contents include:First, through consulting plenty of national and international references and reviewing the key technology for cold-rolled strip flatness detector and existing problems, the online detection and signal processing scheme based on FPGA is presented.Second, design the signal collection and processing circuit including signal amplification, filtering, AD converter, FPGA and Ethernet interface circuit and so on;Third, implement parallel sampling control of multi-channel stress signal by Verilog Hardware Description Language and design the FIR low pass filter based on the addition tree structure and the W5200 Ethernet controller driver.Fourth, verify the designed plate shape detector of signal processing system. The FIR low pass filter module has been verified using Matlab and Modelsim software, the sampling results have been calibrated, and the system has been tested on the integrated test platform, finally, the experimental results and the error are analyzed.
