In the modern metal thermal processing, oxidizing gas in heating furnace develops oxidizing reaction with steel billet, and severe depletion of oxygen in the iron slab, causing a huge waste of raw materials, which leads to adverse effects in metal hot working, such as rolling force wave and surface defects, and make the product yield is low, improve the production cost, increasing consumption capacity, and influencing the final quality of products. Therefore in the billet surface high temperature anti-oxidation coatings are used to reduce waste steel raw material. Resistance to high temperature antioxidation coating method, wide application range, low cost, and the advantages of simple operation are widely used.According to the design principles and mechanism of the production of high temperature anti-oxidation coatings, carbon steel Q235 is used as experiment materials, and a high temperature resistant and anti-oxidation coating is designed by means of contrast test and orthogonal experiment, and figure out the proportion of basic materal. Oxidation weightless rate of the sample is calculated based on experimental date to analyze the performance of the coating of high temperature resistance and anti oxidation.After the steel billets come out of the heating furnace, the temperature on the edge drops quickly but in the core drops slowly, which results in uneven temperature distribution of billet in its width and the plate type quality problem of products rolling out of the furnace will arise. After adding the coating, the edge temperature dropping speed can be reduced so that the temperature tends to be identical of the width direction. The software—DEFORM is used to analyze the temperature distribution of the billets with and without paint coatings after being released. Control and adjust the temperature field to keep a consistent temperature in the width direction.
