Nowadays, the technology of fine coal classification is a hot issue in the study of mineral processing field. As a new-type and high-efficiency device for fine coal classification, the three-product cyclone classification screen has a important research value and application prospect. The core content of study is screen sizing characteristic, the conclusion which guide the industrial production can be achieved by theoretical analysis and experimental research.The aim of theoretical analysis is describing the motion of two phase flow in the three-product cyclone classification screen and guiding the experimental research and the industrial application. this paper first analyzes the internal state of the liquid fluid and solid particle of the three-product swirl classification screen, then obtains the velocity and pressure distribution of the liquid fluid, and the velocity distribution, pressure distribution, concentration distribution, and the rule of the of the particle’s interaction of the solid particle is also obtained. Secondly this paper divides the principle of the three-product swirl classification screen into the cyclone classification of the internal pulp and sieving classification in solid boundary layer,and the point is screen classification. With the help of the sieve bend theory, the working principle and classification theory can be expounded,and derive the formula of classification size respectively.During the experimental study phase, this paper accesses the screen size of cylinder to do single factor experiments, obtaining the best match value of the feed size, to provide the best screen size for the study of transparent mesh sieve law. Secondly,this paper accesses the feed concentration, the feed pressure and the underflow opening diameter to do single factor experiments,drawing on the influence of classification size and classification efficiency. By analyzing the through sieves particles of different column segment height, then obtains the influence of size distribution, concentration distribution and undersize flow. At the same time, during the experimental study, cut off take place in undersize under certain conditions, obtaining the threshold of sieve drying under different column segment height, which can provide reference for later study and field application.In this paper four hypothesis are raised to explain this phenomenon and provides clue for later study. Research findings in this paper provides a basis for three-product swirl classification screen for further study, and is a impetus for the device to utilize in the industry.
