Many departnients of industrial production need to control dust or hannful gases, especially mine production. Ventilation and dust removal is an important way to eliminate pollutants in the process of industrial production. The capture efficiency of dust control equipment in Ventilation and dust collection system directly affects the effects of the whole system. In order to improve the capture efficiency, in recent years, some scholars put forward some ideas, such as using rotary jet flow under the action of suction to control pollution in industrial production, and design the related equipment, carried out extensive research at home and abroad. But as the flow movement is relatively complex, the theoretical research of the system is lack of theoretical research of the system.With the aid of the fluid mechanics, the jet theory and the related theory, the numerical simulation of the swirl generator and the flow field is carried out by using the method of fluid simulation(CFD). What’s more, structure of the swirl generator has also been optimized Systematic analysis was carried out from the gas phase flow field velocity distribution, pressure distribution and so on. The results are as follows.At first, the flow field in the swirl generator was simulated and analyzed, and results show that the velocity distribution and the space distribution of the swirling jet from the nozzle of swirl generator were not uniform.Then, to calculate the gas flow field, the velocity and pressure distribution characteristics of the gas flow field in the regions are obtained, and to analyse preliminarily the influence factors, such as air-supply velocity, inlet manifold construction, air intake quantity, and shroud.To establish the optimized structure model of the cyclone generator, from which the velocity and pressure distribution characteristics of the gas flow field conclude, to draw the critical air supply of the cyclone generator under different parameters. Simultaneously, to simulate the gas-solid two-phase flow field, results show that small pollutants can be captured by cyclone generator, only a minority of particles escapes from the suction port, the majority deposits at the bottom of the machine, so the design structure is in accord with the practical application. If the swirl generator inlet is too small,it is easy to be sucked, resulting in pollution of the air.The large wind speed is easy to cause the waste of resources, and affect the stability of the wind curtain.And the width of the nozzle has a certain influence on the formation of the wind curtain.The gas phase flow field of the swirl generator is the suction flow under the swirling jet.The tornado effect formed by the swirling jet forms a negative pressure area, and the air curtain can effectively control the pollution source.According to the simulation results, a new swirl generator is designed. And the effects of different blowing rate on the gas phase flow field and the influence of the flow guide cover on the gas phase flow field are verified by experiments.
