Thermal power plant is both energy producers, but also the users and consumers of electrical energy, thermal power generating units of the plant are generally accounted for 4-7% of electricity generating capacity. Large-scale power plants of all kinds of fans, pumps are the most important power equipment. These devices are often in long-term continuous operation and variable load running, adjust the fan air volume by its inlet dampers to adjust, low efficiency, resulting in a huge waste of energy. Due to the long-term continuous operation of thermal power plant equipment and are often in low load and variable load running, efficient operating point deviation points lower operating efficiency, a lot of energy in the end-use is wasted away. Therefore, the thermal power plant induced draft fan for energy research has a prominent significance.Aiming at the actual situation of a thermal power plant, collected detailed data of the plant’s energy-consuming equipment, through the analysis of various economic indicators and completion, saving technological transformation should come in focusing power plant fans, pumps and other auxiliary equipment. The basic principle of the fan inverter type of equipment, and the transformation of the energy savings were estimated. Through the construction of energy-saving methods and centrifugal fan analyze and compare a variety of characteristics of speed control method to determine the frequency control is the induced draft fan and effective means of energy-saving technologies and equipment specific proposals of frequency transformation.
