Objective: Detail-analysis on present status of Fujian aging popultion and investigateon the development of Fujian senium medical care service.Methods:1.Literature Research:Collecting the required information on referring to FujianStatistical bureau network, demographic census bulltin, the national economic andsocial development bulltin, Fujian people’s government website, Fujian ProvincialDepartment of health website,etc. And related database at home and abroad, such asCnki, cqvip, wanfang.2.Investigating Method:Investigate on doctors from Level3general hospitals inFujian and geriatric hospitals by self-made questionnaire so as to understand seniummedical care resources as well as their need and expectation in developing suchresources.3.Interviewing Method: Taking opinions and suggestions of senium medical careexperts and management experts from some hospitals in Fujian for developing seniummedical care service.Results:1.The living standard of Fujian people is lifting up and average life expectance islengthening and the population aging is speeding.2.Population who is above60need more medical care service.3.The senium medical care resource is far not enough comparing to the amount ofon-going increasing aging population now and in the near future.Conclusion:We suggest that Fujian government and related deparments take correspondingstrategy so as to guarantee the senium people equiped with enough medical careservice based on present population aging status and shortage of senium medical careservice resources.1. Increase government input and guarantee senium medical care service.2. Set up geriatrics subject education and enhance talent construction and research on geriatrics.3. Build up geriatric hospitals and adjust the deparment-setting of comprehensivehospitals.4. Boost the treatment of profession which is engaged in geriatric service.5. Give full play to the hospitals at the grassroots level.6. Build health record network with the promotion of informatization and realizemedical care information shared.7. Government should build old people’s home and nursing home, which are toconnect with county hosptials. And then bulid up dual-referral mechanism so as touse the health resouce reasonably.8. Encourage privately operated medical care institutions to provide such serviceand strengthening their supervison.9. Combine traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine and developpreponderant discipline of geriatrics.10.Value rehabilitation medicine and speeding up the development ofrehabilitation medicine.
