Stroke, also known as "cerebral vascular accident" or "stroke" refers to a variety of causes of cerebral arterial system and the venous system leads to a class of diseases because of the pathologic changes. In the past, regarded as common in the elderly, and now there is a trend of young; stroke hemiplegia is the most common sequelae of stroke. Through the ages, acupuncture and massage have been used as an important means of rehabilitation of treating stroke hemiplegia.Purpose:Through the clinical observation of acupuncture with the treatment of attacking vital points for curing ischemic stroke, which is able to evaluate its efficacy. It aims at merging the applications of acupuncture and message, also exploring a shorter course of treatment and accelerating the efficacy of both acupuncture and attacking vital points as a method for the treatment of ischemic stroke, and it will provide the basis for the clinical treatment of the disease and treatment ideas.Method:The60selected cases were divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table. Patients in the treatment group were treated by the four-shen points, commonly used in stroke hemiplegia, temporal three points, wisdom three points, the3-arm points, the3-foot points, the 3-should points, the acupuncture part all referring to the "Jin three-needle therapy" created by Professor Jin Rui, and the four passes points, which may add or subtract the acupoints depending on the condition of the disease. Locating acupuncture points, for how to locate proper acupuncture points, the way is to take upper limbs Jian Yu, Qu chi, and He Gu, legs take HuanTiao point, Zusanli, Weizhong and Sanyinjiao; while the control group were only treated by the acupuncture points as the same used for the treatment group. Before the treatment and after two weeks of the treatment, all patients were evaluated with the use of neurological deficit score (NDS) assessment standards and activities of daily living (ADL) scale. The nerve function and the ability of daily life in two groups could be assessed. Results:The comparison of basic data before treatment in the two groups, and it is statistical analyzed and comparable.(P>0.05).The comparison of the curative effect after the treatment of two groups: Treatment group,5cases were cured basically,17cases were remarkably improved,6cases were effective,2cases were ineffective, markedly effective rate of93.33%; Acupuncture group:2cases were cured basically,11cases were remarkably improved,13cases were effective,4cases were ineffective, markedly effective rate of86.67%. The comparison of the curative effect of two groups, there was significant difference of the statistical effects between the two groups (P<0.05), which indicated that the treatment group is superior to the control group in the curative effect. The comparison of activities of daily living (ADL) scale before and after treatments by Barthel index in two groups:After the end of treatment, before and after treatment by Barthel index, by comparing the differences in each two groups and also between the two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), which indicated that it would gain the curative effect of reducing the patients’Barthel index in both groups, but the treatment group is obviously superior to the acupuncture group in the curative effect. The comparison of Neurological function deficit score (NDS) before and after treatments in two groups:After the end of treatment, the NDS of both groups’patients were significantly reduced, and the intra-group comparison within the treatment group and the acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), which indicated that the neurological function deficit score was significantly improved by both treatments. After treatment, NDS in the treatment group compared with the one in acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), which indicated that patients’nerve function can be more obviously improved in the treatment group. Conclusion:The acupuncture going with the attacking vital points treatment for the patients of hemiplegia after stroke, through the observation of clinical efficacy, surely help patients with the recovery of nerve function and improve their ability of daily life.
