| ObjectivePutting the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine by warming and submerging Yang to correct the unrestricted virtual Yang applied to the breast cancer patients who have oral mucositis caused by chemotherapy. Observing the influence of local and systemic symptoms on the patients to xplore the clinical significance of the treatment and provide clinical basis and new ideas of Chinese medicine treatment of diseases.41patients of breast cancer with oral mucositis caused by chemotherapy were randomly divided into two groups,20cases in the control group and21cases of the test group. The control group was treated with gargle mouthwash gentamicin and vitamin B2while the test group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine by warming and submerging Yang. Both group were treated for5days. Then compare oral mucositis grade, degree of pain, local effect the average of ulcers and systemic symptoms before and after treatment to analysis and evaluation of its therapeutic effect.Results1. Comparison of local effect:the oral mucositis grade and pain score of each group was reduced after treatment (P<0.05). And there was no significant difference in the average of the ulcer, oral mucositis grade, pain score and local effect between the two groups.2. Comparison of the efficacy of systemic symptoms:the systemic symptom score of each group was reduced after treatment (P<0.05). The symptoms of fatigue, headache, fever and thirst were improved than before in the control group while The symptoms of fatigue, headache, sleep disorders, fever and thirst were improved in the test groups (P<0.05). Between-group comparison showed that the systemic symptom score of test group was lower than control test (P<0.05); the effect of test group of improving symptom of thirst was better than control group (P<0.05)3. safety assessment:After treatment the overall level of white blood cells and neutrophils increased than before, no serious infection occured in the treated patients due to agranulocytosis, and no disorders of water and electrolyte occured caused by high fever. The drug allergy and drug-related side effects were neither observed. The symptoms of unrestricted virtual Yang in test group were never increased. The liver and kidney functions of the two groups of patients were normal after treatment.ConelusionTreating chemotherapy-related oral mucositis by warming and submerging Yang of traditional Chinese medicine was obviously effective. Its local effect was as much as the control group, and the efficacy of systemic symptoms was more effective. The method uses safety without significant side effects. |
