ObjectiveThe cause of Ankylosing spondylitis is unknown. At present, western medicine treatment is still a lack of specific drugs. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of the disease has a unique curative effect. The doctor of TCM is built on the basis of syndrome differentiation to obtain positive clinical efficiency. The purpose of this paper is to summarize previous experience in treating Ankylosing spondylitis, find out the regular pattern of TCM differentiation and dig out the effective medicine for the treatment of the disease. It can provide clinical and theoretical basis to the advantages of TCM in treating Ankylosing spondylitis.MethodsCollecting conforming ankylosing spondylitis patients’ medical records in our hospital in recent five years. Concluding the TCM syndrome and medicine, analysising with the software EXCEL2003. By analyzing、summarizing the high frequency of drugs in TCM treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, to study the ankylosing spondylitis TCM syndrome and drug law, finish the TCM therapeutic mechanism.ResultsThrough statistical analysis, The common TCM syndrome type of ankylosing spondylitis, in descending order as followsrwind musculoskeletal, liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, kidney deficiency and damp heat syndrome, kidney deficiency, damp-heat syndrome, blood-stasis syndrome, cold-damp syndrome, are27.10%,26.62%,22.53%,8.67%,4.09%,3.97%. If classification according to the excess and deficiency, deficiency syndrome including liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, kidney syndrome, accounted for49.63%;Excess syndrome includes damp heat syndrome, blood-stasis syndrome, cold-damp syndrome, accounted for15.83%; Excess and deficiency syndrome includes kidney deficiency and damp heat syndrome, accounted for26.6%;Other is6.98%. The frequency of the various types of medicine in descending order: reinforcing medicine, wind-damp dispelling medicine, blood-activating and slasi s-resol ving medicine, diuret ic dampness excreting medicine, heat-clearing medicine, relieving exterior medicine, damp dispelling medicine. Its corresponding percentage is25.90%,16.28%,14.10%,25.90%,10.82%,8.01%,4.24%. Reinforcing medicine in a proportion of the total drugs is25.90%and in the first place, in which the qi-tonifying medicine in the majority, followed by yang-tonifying medicine, blood-tonifying medicine, Yin-tonifying medicine, their respective percentage is50.93%,31.34%,15.40%,31.34%. Wind-damp dispelling medicine in a proportion of the total medicine is16.28%, wind-cold-damp dispelling medicine is the largest, followed by bones and muscles strengthening medicine, wind damp and heat dispelling medicine, their respective percentage is43.99%,29.99%and43.99%.Blood-activating and slasi s-resol ving medicine in the proportion of the total drug was14.10%. Diuret ic dampness excreting medicine in a proportion of the total drugs was13.72%, inducing diuresis to alleviate edema medicine appear the most, followed by inducing diuresis to teating strangurtia medicine, inducing dieresis to treating aurigo medicine, the percentage is83.46%,83.46%and83.46%respectively. Heat-clearing medicine accounted for10.82%in total medicine, including antipyretic-detoxicate medicine appeared the most, followed by heat-clearing and bood-cooling medicine, heat-clearing and detoxifying medicine, heat-clearing and fire-purging medicine, deficiency-heat-clearing medicine, their respective percentage is36.98%,36.18%,17.30%,8.95%,17.30%. Relieving exterior medicine in a proportion of the total drug was8.01%. Damp dispelling medicine accounted for4.24%in total drug. Other medicine, including interior-warming medicine, qi-regulating medicine, cough-suppressing and panting-calming medicine, accounted for6.91%.ConclusionOur main syndrome type of ankylosing spondylitis are liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, kidney deficiency and damp heat syndrome, kidney deficiency syndrome, damp-heat syndrome, blood-stasis syndrome, cold-damp syndrome and other certificate type. The cause of ankylosing spondylitis is kidney deficiency, and include heat and humid invaded. The main syndrome types of commonly used medicine is:(1) liver and kidney deficiency syndrome: liquorice, achyranthes, tuckahoe, mistletoe, eucommia bark, angelicae pubescentis, rhizoma ligustici wallichii, angelica, coix seed, cortex phellodendri, radix paeoniae alba, dangshen;(2) kidney deficiency and damp heat syndrome:achyranthes, coix seed, cortex phellodendri, radix glycyrrhizae, rhizoma atractylodis, poria cocos, mistletoe, eucommia bark, alisma, dioscorea collettii, honeysuckle stem, angelicae pubescentis;(3) kidney deficiency syndrome:licorice, poria cocos, achyranthes, eucommia bark, mistletoe, cassia twig, angelicae pubescentis, dipsacus, cortex moutan, coix seed, rhizoma alismatis, atractylodes.(4) Damp-heat syndrome:liquorice, achyranthes, coix seed, rhizoma atractylodis, cortex phellodendri, poria cocos, dioscorea collettii, eucommia bark, rhizoma ligustici wallichii, atractylodes, radix paeoniae alba, paris lotus;(5) Blood-stasis syndrome:liquorice, angelica, achyranthes, tuckahoe, rhizoma ligustici wallichii, red paeony root, safflower, peach kernel, angelicae pubescentis, radix paeoniae alba, radix rehmanniae, mistletoe;(6) Cold-damp syndrome:liquorice, atractylodes, poria cocos, radix paeoniae alba, asarum, cassia twig, mistletoe, angelica, achyranthes, ephedra, cortex phellodendri, aconite.
