Clinical Trial Research On Tongbi Prescription In Prevention And Crue Of Urinary Retention After Type â…¡Radical Hysterectomy

ObjectivesUsing the Tongbi prescription granules to prevent and treat urinary-retention after C2L2radical hysterectomy, observe whether it can reduce the incidence of postoperative urinary retention and improve patients’quality of life.MethodsUsing prospective double-blind, double simulation studies and randomized controlled trial,64patients gathered were divided into two groups randomly:experimental group and control group, each group of32cases. Giving patients randomly to take Tongbi granule or placebo since5day after surgery to7day (excluding surgery day),1bag/times,2times/d,with warm water and have physical training of bladder function with close the ureter from postoperative day5, romove the ureter in postoperative day7routinely. The rate of urinary retention, residual urine volume, urine routine of two groups would be compared. The test data were evaluated by SPSS17.0.Results1. The rate of residual urine larger than100ml after postoperative day7were15.6%and46.9%in experimental group and control group respectively, so significant divergence was shown between the experimental group and control group (P<0.05).2. Significant diference were found in the residual urine after1week from surgery of experimental group (75.00±93.47ml) and control group (92.00±158.30ml)(P<0.05).3. Comepare Bladder function recovery classification of two groups, there is no significant was shown between the experimental group and control group(P>0.05).4. The rate of urinary retention after2weeks from surgery were15.6%and40.6%in experimental group and control group respectively, so significant divergence was shown between the experimental group and control group(P<0.05).5. The rate of urinary tract infection were15.6%and43.8%in experimental group and control group respectively, so significant divergence was shown between the experimental group and control group (P<0.05).6. The rate of re-indwelling catheter were18.8%and40.6%, so no significant was shown between the experimental group and control group(P>0.05).7. Significant diference was found in number of days of indwelling ureter between the experimental group (7.00±3.37天) and control group (10.00±6.44天)(P<0.05).8. Days of placing a urinary catheter in patients and urinary tract infection is occurring risk factors, OR values were2.575,21.484, with statistical significance (P<0.05).ConclusionsTongbi prescription granules has a satisfactory therapeutic effect on urinary retention after C2L2radical hysterectomy. It can decrease the incidence of urinary retention, educe bladder residual urine volume, reduce the risk of urinary tract infection, and shorten the time of re-indwelling catheter to improve the patient’s quality of life.
