Clinical Study On Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling And Jibi Pill Treat Ankylosing Spondylitis

ObjectiveTo observe the therapeutic effect and the safety of Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling and Jibi pill in the treatment of Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), in order to increase TCM treatment method of AS.Methods60cases included in the standard of the AS patients were randomly divided into acupuncture combined with drug group (30cases) and drug group (30cases).Two groups were treated by sulfasalazine(SZZ) and diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets. The acupuncture combined with drug group was treated by western medicine, fu’s subcutaneous needling and jibi pill. Period of treatment was6weeks. The observation items were the efficacy of AS physical therapy cores recommended by Assessment of Spondyloarthritis International Society (ASAS). Recording pain VAS score, the time of morning stiffness, thoracic expansion, modified Schober test, pillow wall distance, Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index (BASFI) and laboratory indexes (ESR and CRP) before and after treatment in the two groups, and adverse reactions in the study. Refer to " the guiding principles of Chinese traditional medicine new drug in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis " make therapeutic effect criterion.ResultsThe effective rate of acupuncture combined with drug group was73.33%, markedly effective rate was6.67%, no efficiency of20%, the total efficiency of80%. In the drug group, the effective rate was63.33%, markedly effective rate was3.33%, no efficiency of33.33%, the total efficiency of66.67%. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), so the curative effect of acupuncture combined with drug group was better than the drug group. The two groups after treatment both can reduce pain score, morning stiffness time, the pillow wall distance, BASFI, ESR, CRP, and improve thoracic expansion with the modified Schober test, with significant difference (P<0.01). After the treatment of two groups, pain and BASFI had significant (P<0.01or P<0.05), the time of morning stiffness, thoracic expansion, the modified Schober test, the pillow wall distance, ESR and CRP statistically insignificant (P>0.05). The adverse reaction in acupuncture combined with drug group was lower than that of drug group. ConelusionFu’s Subcutaneous Needling and Jibi pill in the treatment of AS has analgesic effect, improve body’s activity function, alleviate inflammatory reaction, no obvious side effect. It is a safe, effective treatment for AS.
