Clinical Effects Of Treating Lumbar Interverbral Disc Herniatio With Electro Acupuncture Combined With TDP

Objective:Treat LIDH with electro acupuncture combined with TDP. By comparing the clinical effect with acupuncture combined with TDP, evaluate the clinical effects and security of this therapy objectively. Discover a better plan to treat LIDH.Methods:In clinical research,60patients were divided into two groups randomly.30patients in treatment group received electro acupuncture combined with TDP. Acupoints:Vertebral segments and it’s upper and lower Jiaji point, Dachangshu bilateral, Yaoyangguan, Huantiao, Chengshan, Kunlun were taken ipsilateral.30patients in control group received acupuncture combined with TDP. Low back pain scoring, efficacy and security were evaluated after20times treatments. By comparing the total score in each group and between groups, evaluate the effects, security and cured rate.Results:The difference between the total score before treatment and after treatment in treatment group was significant(P<0.01). The difference between the total score before treatment and after treatment in control group was significant(P<0.01). The difference of total score’s change between the two groups was significant(P<0.01). The difference of efficacy between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). But the cured cases of two groups had no differences statistically significant(P>0.05). There were no adverse event occurred in both groups.Conclusion:1. Treatment group and control group are safe and effective.2. The improvement of symptoms and efficacy in treatment group are better than the control group.3. Electro acupuncture combined with TDP is a safe and effective therapy in treating LIDH and should be further promoted in clinical use.
