Objective:Elastase (NE) concentration in seminal plasma of chronic prostatitispatients (CP), prostate fluid routine, semen routine, mycoplasma, chlamydia, bacterialculture and chronic prostatitis symptom index (CPSI) were detected. According tothese data, elastase concentration changes in chronic prostatitis influence semenquality by statistical analysis software. The research implied that the enzyme playsignificant role in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic prostatitis and fertility. Methods: Collecting semen and prostate fluid samples of patients with CP fromJanuary to June2013in our hospital for treatment of male subjects, according to theirfertility will be divided into infertile patients (A group of30patients), fertilitypatients (group B30cases),30cases of infertility patients as normal sex life aftermarriage, unprotected intercourse, cohabitation over1year in patients withnon-pregnant woman, after I checked the woman’s hospital maternity exclusionfactor infertility, fertility patients were30cases of pregnant spouse Meanwhile men, while collecting healthy volunteers (group C30patients) and prostatic fluid semenspecimens, the test subjects were90patients carried elastase, prostate fluid routinebacterial culture, mycoplasma, chlamydia and semen routine testing in medicalhistory collection completion of prostatitis symptom score (CPSI). The conclusionthat the concentration of NE by statistics, semen parameters, semen count (WBC)WBC difference in chronic prostatitis patients and healthy volunteers, furtheranalysis of the concentration of NE on sperm vitality, motility, sperm density, liquefaction time, pH impact and analyze the relationship between NE and age, CPSI,WBC, and to determine the value of NE in the CP and the potential negative impacton the quality of semen and diagnosing the presence of relations with infertility.Voluntary participation of all patients in the study. No history of antibiotic treatment three months ago. Results: NE concentration in group A and B were significantly higher than group C,(P <0.05); sperm motility, sperm motility, sperm density were significantly lowerthan group C (P <0.05), semen liquefaction time was significantly longer than groupC;PH value of group A and B was significantly lower than group C (P <0.05); spermdensity, pH value between group A and group B were no significant differences (P=0.354,0.654>0.05); CPSI in A group was significantly higher than group B, whichwas statistically significant (P <0.05); There was a positive correlation between thesemen WBC number and CPSI in group A and B, the correlation coefficient r=0.617.There was a positive correlation between NE and WBC number, the correlationcoefficient r=0.749. There was a positive correlation between NE and CPSI, thecorrelation coefficient r=0.523.Conclusions:1, Elastase is a new indicator of chronic prostatitis diagnosis, determine the degree of inflammation, and indicators of male urology routine testingdiagnostics;2, There was a negative correlation between elastase concentration and semenquality, the higher the enzyme concentration, the poorer semen quality, leading tomale infertility to a certain extent;3, Detection of elastase concentrations will guide the selection of clinical treatmentand the judgment of prognosis.
